Favorite product: Rip Curl Tropikiller Fade Boardshorts What does The Search mean to you? I see it as finding waves with no one around or finding something I have never experienced before and doing something that I have never done before. When you're off the boat, what do you spend time doing? I am all about the water and stick to what I like. Other than wakeboarding, I like to surf, but I also spend time writing and recording music. It has been a passion of mine for a long time and it is something that I can do for myself when I’m around the house. The best thing about being off the lake and at home is having fun with my wife and son. I can never do too much of that. Who are your hero’s or people you look up to? Anyone who tries to make the world a better place. I think this is one of the best things anyone can strive for in their life. Describe your daily routine: I start it up with a cup of green tea and breakfast. I try to stay active whether it be a mountain bike ride, getting on the lake riding and coaching wakeboarding, or surfing. Then I head back home for a little time in the studio. I always end the day with some quality family time, as I can never get enough of that. That is my routine and it stays pretty consistent so I can’t complain. |
What makes you most happy? My son, for sure. I also get pumped to push myself to accomplish new things whatever they are. What are your most memorable moments in wakeboarding for you? Winning the X-Games was definitely a high point on the competitive side of things. I would have to say towing into some big barrels on my wakeboard was one of those crazy things you do just to do it and was something I will never forget. Life changing events or injuries: I busted my ankle in ‘95 and was told I would never ride again. The next year I had the best season of my life. Ironic, but just goes to show that perseverance pays off. iPod favorites: Foo Fighters In Your Honor, Apparat, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead Food: Sushi TV: Dexter Top website: magicseaweed.com Goals: Continue life without a ‘real’ job |
